How We Make Money

OffShift is a free resource. This page explains how it is funded, what that means for content, and what we never do.

Affiliate links

Some links on OffShift — particularly in product recommendation articles and best-of pages — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

OffShift is a participant in the Amazon Associates UK programme. Our associate ID is garywebdevelo-21. Qualifying purchases made through our Amazon links earn a commission.

Affiliate links are always disclosed at the top of any article that uses them. We do not accept payment to rank products higher than they deserve.

What affiliate income does not buy

Manufacturers and brands cannot pay to be recommended, featured, or reviewed positively. Products are selected based on research, testing where possible, and genuine usefulness for shift workers. A product with no affiliate programme can still be our top recommendation.

Sponsored content

OffShift may publish sponsored articles from brands relevant to shift worker health — workplace wellness products, supplements, sleep aids. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled "Sponsored" at the top of the article and in any promotional material. Sponsors do not direct editorial content.

Digital products

OffShift sells downloadable guides and tools. These are priced independently and not subsidised by advertiser relationships.

No paywalled health information

Health information on OffShift is free. We will never put safety-critical content (crisis resources, symptom guidance, rights information) behind a paywall.
